The author

Hello, my name is Helmut Ulshoefer. I was born 1944 in Boxberg, the home of gruenkern, and I'm a retired teacher of religious education. After traveling around for 30 years as student in Boston Mass. and Heidelberg, as a minister in several parishes in Germany and as a lecturer in Sri Lanka I have returned home.
In Boxberg (located 100km east of Heidelberg), which you can visit by clicking on its coat of arms, I live together with my wife Gerda in the farmhouse inherited from my parents. My life has become rather quiet since our daughters Daniela and Corina work or study away from Boxberg and return home only for visits.

In my spare time I enjoy chopping wood, fishing in my pond and surfing the internet. I am not a vegetarian, nevertheless, I am a fan of gruenkern which is produced only in our area.
